Jesus Leads Us To The Next Step There are times in our lives we will have to take steps. In other words, we will face the need to make decisions. We will be given plenty of opportunities to take steps, to make decisions. The question is how will we make the best decisions, to take the right steps? Some of our friends will put pressure on us. Sometimes this will be a challenge to excel in a project, a difficult goal. Yet, sometimes we will be pressured to act in a way we know in our heart is not right. The challenge by our peers might be to do something wrong. To say no to this might make us feel disliked by our friends, or rejected by them. We may feel that we don't belong to the group. What should we do? How can we take a step that will make us liked by our friends and at the same time keep our self esteem? The answer is very simple. Jesus leads us to the next step, and the right one. Jesus is part of our group, the best part. He is interested in our decision and our next step. He wants us to make the right decision. This makes us feel good inside. We may be ridiculed by the group, and may even be called names. The members of the group some times try to push us down just to build themselves up, because deep inside our friends admire us for our courage to say and do the right thing. They don't have the courage to follow our example and decision. They cannot take the step we took. They may not say anything but they really respect us. Jesus, too, is pleased with us and stands besides us, proud that we did the right thing. We never need to be afraid. He is always there to help us take the next, right step. Throughout our lives we will be challenged to take many steps, to make many decisions. We are never alone in our journey. Jesus is there to help us. He is the best of all our best friends. Cherish that friendship. Thank Him for being our best friend. May we always be worthy of the love that Jesus gives us. We are important to Him. Keep Him always close by. Take the next step. Take the right step. Take the best step by planting your feet into the footprints of Christ.
